This part of the Mishnah continues to discuss in what kind of environment Shemah can be said. Specifically, the Mishnah teaches us that Shemah cannot be recited in an environment that smells bad.

אֲבָל לֹא יִתְכַּסֶּה,

לֹא בְּמַיִם הָרָעִים

וְלֹא בְּמֵי הַמִּשְׁרָה,

עַד שֶׁיַּטִּיל לְתוֹכָן מַיִם.


וְכַמָּה יַרְחִיק מֵהֶם

וּמִן הַצּוֹאָה.
