The Mishnah discusses changes to the format of a blessing that are not allowed.

מְקוֹם שֶׁאָמְרוּ לְהַאֲרִיךְ,

אֵינוֹ רַשַּׁאי לְקַצֵּר.


לְקַצֵּר,

אֵינוֹ רַשַּׁאי לְהַאֲרִיךְ.


לַחְתֹּם,

אֵינוֹ רַשַּׁאי שֶׁלֹּא לַחְתֹּם.


וְשֶׁלֹּא לַחְתֹּם,

אֵינוֹ רַשַּׁאי לַחְתֹּם:
