This portion of the Mishnah describes the reasons why Rabbi Yosi Haglili and Rabbi Akiva disagree if zimun gets longer once ten people eat together.

רַבִּי יוֹסֵי הַגְּלִילִי אוֹמֵר,

לְפִי רֹב הַקָּהָל הֵן מְבָרְכִין,

שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (תהלים סח)

בְּמַקְהֵלוֹת בָּרְכוּ אֱלֹקִים, יְיָ מִמְּקוֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל.


אָמַר רַבִּי עֲקִיבָא,

מַה מָּצִינוּ בְּבֵית הַכְּנֶסֶת

אֶחָד מְרֻבִּין וְאֶחָד מוּעָטִין אוֹמֵר,

בָּרְכוּ אֶת יְיָ.


רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל אוֹמֵר, בָּרְכוּ אֶת יְיָ הַמְבֹרָךְ:
